    Welcome, fellow readers! Well, I think 2021 started quite the same as 2020 wrapped up -staying at home, being safe, and masking up. Although there is plenty to not like about what is keeping up at home, I have tried to find some positives in the new pace of life. As you know if you are regular here, I took a dive headfirst into Jane Austen fan fiction this past year. It was exactly what I needed for comfort reads during a stressful year.     Three Ways to Celebrate Jane Austen During Gothtober

    As Austen fans, we hardly need an excuse to celebrate more Jane goodness. However, I always get a little spring in my step when October rolls around since it means it time to enjoy all the Gothic goodness of Northanger Abbey (at least during the proper season). Forget pumpkin spice latte’s and Sweater Weather… I’ll take more Mr. Tilney, please. As the world around us quickly switches to virtual events, Chawton House is not to be left behind.     June 2020 Reading Recap

    June is my favorite month of the year. It’s mine and my husband’s birthday month and it’s our anniversary. So much celebrating! Despite still mostly staying at home, it was a great month. I was able to read twelve books this month and for the most part, they were all amazing reads! I noticed an interesting pattern with my reading this month. I had a few new (to me) authors that I started reading. I was so hooked after reading one book from each of them that I binge read quite a few of their other books.
