For Elizabeth Bennet, Charlotte is the friend who is—annoyingly—always right. Colonel Fitzwilliam is the mischievous brother she never had. And if their convictions that Mr. Darcy is in love with her are correct, he could be the lover she’s always wanted.
There’s only one problem—he tried to ruin her favorite sister’s life, and she made an absolute fool of herself in front of him.
Can lasting happiness come out of such a beginning? And can a man die from chasing a woman too quick to be caught? Darcy is about to find out.
“I would like to court you — call on you, go for walks, tell you how enchanting you are to see your blushes. –“
I have found myself lately craving HEA’s that are drama-free. I want the suspense and drama to come from situations outside of the couple’s relationship. As usual with Elizabeth Adams books, this one did not disappoint! Elizabeth and Darcy talk out their issues like adults. If you need a book free from angst, this one is it.
This book is delightfully drama-free. The romantic connection between Elizabeth and Darcy was so electric it gave me goosebumps on more than one occasion while reading. Add this to your must-buy list! I am already excited to reread.
