    Pemberley by Moonlight

“I wish I could meet you, Mr Darcy, and tell you to come home.  There seems to be a large gap in the world where you should be.” WHAT HAS HAPPENED to Fitzwilliam Darcy?  IT HAS BEEN NEARLY A YEAR since the master of Pemberley disappeared, leaving behind his distraught young sister and a family in turmoil. But clues to his whereabouts are scarce and it soon seems there will be nothing to do but see Georgiana married and have him declared legally dead.  ELIZABETH BENNET, ON HOLIDAY with her aunt and uncle, visits Pemberley and soon finds herself drawn into the mystery of the missing gentleman. There You Were

“I was not looking for love, but there you were. I cannot stop it, I cannot indulge it, so I must put distance between us and hope that time will heal this fever I have.” Abandoned by her mother and ignored by her father, it is hardly any wonder young Elizabeth Bennet’s curiosity soon brings about trouble and marriage to a man she does not love. But, I fell fast and hard. As I was reaching for to Austen more and more this year, I realized there was a whole world I had yet to explore with more Austen-goodness to read. This Pride & Prejudice did not disappoint! In a twist of fate, Mr. Bennet is now titled and wealthier than Mr. Darcy. The story picks up after Elizabeth has rejected Mr. Darcy’s -ahem- less than romantic proposal. What unfolds next is simply…

    The Jane Austen Society

If you are looking for a cast of characters to keep you company during #stayathome, look no further than Natalie Jenner’s charming The Jane Austen Society. This book will resonate with all of Jane Austen’s fans. As someone who has lived many years away from the area I grew up, I always find comfort in going home. This book feels like a home-going to our beloved Jane. Just after the Second World War, in the small English village of Chawton, an unusual but like-minded group of people band together to attempt something remarkable. One hundred and fifty years ago, Chawton was the final home of Jane Austen, one of England’s…
